Dear Optus,
I signed up for two iPhones when they came out - as I’ve not received a bill yet I’d like to check my bill online. Here’s how my attempts have gone so far:
Hi guys! As at least one person has noticed, there hasn’t been an episode for a couple of weeks. Fear not, dear listener, we’re not gone for good, just re-grouping
We decided to take a break for a couple of reasons, the main of which is that NAT was taking the direction of a nerdy news show and that’s not what any of us intended it to be.
Sure, we wanna talk about stuff we come across online, but we don’t wanna just be a recap show - there are enough of them - we wanna share the geek passion and get excited about nerdy stuff like updating my podcast blog from my iPhone on a train that smells like vomit. That kinds thing.
We’ll be back In a couple of weeks. Until then keep leaving feedback - you’re the guys we want to appeal to.
What do you wanna listen to?
Episode six is done!

SInce iTunes has given us the love of being Australia’s Number 1 Geek Podcast, i thought I’d give it some love back by adding a sexy new iTunes button in the sidebar. For those reading this in an RSS reader, here’s what it looks like.
Cleek it! You know you want to… ![]()
We’re the number one tech podcast in Australia today! God bless iTunes bizarre chart system.

Its been posted all over my feeds and twittters and what nots, so normally i wouldn’t bother re-posting here, but I just mentioned it to an ubergeek and he hadn’t seen it yet.
Nicely played:
Listeners to the show will know I’m a bit of a Google fan. I wouldn’t go so far as to say fanboy, there are many things about the Goog’ i find frustrating, and possibly terrifying. But as a Mac user, I’ve been fascinated by the Goog’s tremendous growth, and as them being the only game in town big enough to take down Microsoft.
One thing I’ve been obsessed about recently is the idea that Google could use its Apps suite of Email, Docs, Address Book Syncing and the like and form a kind of Exchange Killer that would be easy to set up, and compatible with multiple devices and operating systems.
Well, today that idea seems closer to reality as The NSW Department of Education announced they will be moving from Exchange to Google Apps, through their partner SMS.
One argument i always hear against the idea of Google Apps replacing Microsoft Exchange is that large companies will never go for a set up they can’t monitor ‘in house’. I’m sure larger companies would be reluctant to change to a hosted system, and some never will, but todays decision is a vote of confidence that atleast some sectors will think about making the switch.
Have i completed missed the point here? Microsoft Exchangers, what are your thoughts?
One of my all time favourite ’sports’ is Air Hockey, its about as sporty as any geek should get. Well, some guys over at Nuvation have just released an Air Hockey playing Robot. Teh Awesomes.
